The much talked about credit card reform legislation may give consumers a needed break by going into effect three months prior than when it was originally scheduled to. The provision where credit card issuers cannot raise the interest rates on existing consumers balances is possibly going to be moved to December 1, 2009. It was originally set to go into effect on February 22, 2010.
